The Island Highway (#19) runs the length of Vancouver Island north-south. Drive North from Nanaimo on the #19 to the #4 turnoff (near Qualicum Beach) it is very well marked.

(As an alternative you can turn off on the 4A which is a bit slower but offers some interesting stops. The 4A eventually meets the 4 just past Coombs)

Just stay on the #4, it passes through Port Alberni; from there, it is about a 1 1/2 hour drive to the west coast. When the highway comes to a T junction with the information centre on your right, turn left towards Ucluelet, go 500 meters and on your left you will find The Surf Junction Campground.

Highway #4 is hilly and windy, however the scenery is beautiful and worth the adventure. Drive Safe!
