Wet days happen on the West Coast.
You will still probably see a rainbow or two and if you come
prepared there’s still lots of unique experiences to enjoy. Pack an
extra few changes of clothes, rubber boots and rain gear,
staying warm and dry is the key.
Wet day activities
Outside
Hiking
Rain gear has improved so going for a hike in the rain can be a warm and dry experience. Many park trails are so thick with tree cover that most of the rain doesn't reach the ground anyway.
Go in the Ocean
With a wetsuit on there is no warmer way to be outside on a wet day. Surf, body board or just go for a dip. If you’re going to be wet anyhow, you might as well embrace it.
Sit in our hot tub
If you're going to be wet you may as well be warm.
Use our covered picnic area
Have a meal and wait for the storm to pass.
Tie tarps up over your tent and picnic table and fire pit
Sit back and enjoy a good campfire.
